About Us

We've been involved in SUP since 2007, when it first started really catching on in Europe. Bill Dawes was editor of the first paddleboarding magazine in Europe, and produced three issues in the UK before emigrating to New Zealand, whereupon he promptly set about introducing his new neighbours to the sport, resulting in Northland Paddleboarding; one of the very first paddleboarding centres in NZ.

So, we know what we're talking about - and having already produced a paddleboarding magazine, we know we can do it again. Indeed, Bill was editor of BOARDS, the UK's leading windsurfing magazine, for over a decade, so he knows a whole heap about magazine production in general.
